Need help?
Email castor.app@icloud.com describing what happens, on which device and with which app version (at the bottom of Settings). I answer personally, usually within a couple of days.
1Castor Pro and purchases
Castor Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, with a free 14-day trial. If you switch iPhones or reinstall the app, go to Settings → Castor Pro → Restore Purchases. It works on all your devices with the same Apple Account, including Apple Watch. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
2Adding podcasts
Tap + in Podcasts to search the Apple Podcasts directory or paste a feed URL (premium feeds work too). To bring your subscriptions from another app, export an OPML file and open it with Castor or import it from Settings.
3iCloud sync
Subscriptions, progress, Up Next and bookmarks sync through your iCloud. If they don’t show up on another device, check that iCloud is turned on for Castor in system Settings → your name → iCloud, and keep the app open for a few minutes the first time.
4Transcripts and Apple Intelligence
If a podcast publishes transcripts, Castor uses them. Otherwise it creates them on your iPhone, without sending audio to any server; a long episode can take several minutes. Summaries and “Ask your podcasts” require an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence.
5Apple Watch
The watch only plays long-form audio through Bluetooth headphones or speakers. Download episodes to the watch from their page to listen without your iPhone.
6Privacy
Castor doesn’t collect personal data. See the privacy policy.
